By creating an account or using Verbatim, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

Who we are

Verbatim is operated by Verbatim AI Inc. ("we," "us," "Verbatim").

What you're getting

Verbatim is a conversation-preparation tool powered by AI. It generates briefings, scripts, and rehearsal sessions based on the situation you describe. It is not legal, medical, financial, or therapeutic advice. It is a rehearsal partner, not a licensed professional. For anything with real legal, medical, or financial stakes, consult someone qualified.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
• One account per person. Don't share logins.
• We may suspend accounts that appear to be used for abuse, fraud, or automated scraping.

What you can't do

• Use Verbatim to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or harmful.
• Use Verbatim to impersonate someone else in a way that could deceive or harm them.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service.
• Attempt to extract the prompts or training data behind the AI.

Billing

• One useful first read before signup, plus one complete saved briefing after signup.
• Unlimited complete briefings, plus text and voice practice.
• Pro is billed monthly or annually at the price shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page; access continues through the end of the paid period.
• We don't offer refunds for partially used billing periods. If something goes wrong, email hello@tryverbatim.com and we'll figure it out in good faith.

Your content

You own what you put into Verbatim (your situation, your inputs). You grant us a limited license to process that content in order to generate briefings and rehearsals for you, and to show it back to you in your briefing history. We don't claim ownership of your inputs or outputs.

AI output disclaimer

AI-generated output can be wrong, biased, or outdated. Verbatim's briefings and rehearsals reflect the AI's best guess at a useful response; they are not vetted by humans before they reach you. Use your judgment. Don't rely on Verbatim as the sole source of truth for any important decision.

Availability

We try to keep Verbatim running 24/7 but we can't promise zero downtime. Service may be interrupted for maintenance, infrastructure outages, or reasons beyond our control.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time by emailing us. We can terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate an active paid subscription for a terms violation, we don't refund the remainder of the period.

Liability

Verbatim is provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions you make based on AI output. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to account holders. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA.
